A video script or storyboard is a planning tool that ensures clarity, efficiency, and consistency before production begins. I would explain to an employer that it serves as a blueprint, helping everyone involved understand the video's message, flow, and purpose.

Without a script or storyboard, video projects often require more time, revisions, and resources. Planning in advance reduces confusion, prevents miscommunication, and keeps the project aligned with its original goals.

From a business perspective, scripts and storyboards save money and protect brand messaging. They ensure that the final product is intentional, professional, and effective rather than improvised or unclear.
