Doctrine and Covenants 4 speaks about engaging in a “marvelous work” with faith, hope, charity, and love. While this scripture predates modern technology, its message applies powerfully to social media today. Social media has the ability to reach people across the world instantly, sharing messages of hope, encouragement, and truth in ways that were once impossible.
I have seen social media used as a marvelous work when it uplifts others, shares testimonies, builds community, and provides support to those who feel alone. It can be a tool for service, education, and connection when used intentionally and responsibly. Even small acts, such as sharing positive messages or thoughtful content, can have a meaningful impact.
Personally, I want to use social media in a way that reflects integrity and purpose. Whether through creative work, storytelling, or professional content, I hope to contribute messages that are honest, kind, and helpful. Using social media as a tool for good requires effort and awareness, but it has the potential to serve God by serving others.
